The Spanish TV series was a huge success and was exported to almost all European countries. In 1987 it arrived in the United States retouched for censorship reasons: Lisa's breast size was reduced and the images of her breastfeeding her children were not shown (!!!): the late 20th century culture in this country has been intrinsically hostile to breastfeeding, including the arrest of women for breastfeeding in public on charges of exhibitionism: it was not until 1993 in Florida, 1994 in the state of New York and 1997 in California that laws were passed to allow breastfeeding.
