Pedro Pablo Rubens, pintor flamenco (Siegen, 1577 – Amberes, 1640), máximo exponente del Barroco. Su tabla al óleo de 115 x 85 cm, «Helena Fourment con sus hijos, Clara, Johanna and Frans», de 1636, se conserva en el museo del Louvre. Helena Fourment fue la segunda mujer del pintor.
In Islamic countries, Mother's Day is celebrated on 21 March. The whole series is made up of suggestive, but not explicit, images of breastfeeding, perhaps due to the conventions of the Islamic religion.
