The first of April in France is like April Fool's Day, 28 December, in Spain; people play pranks on each other, children hang paper fish on their backs, and so on. At the beginning of the 20th century, humorous postcards or good wishes were exchanged with a fish drawn on them.
In this one there is a wet nurse and the legend says:
"“Of your little boy I'm jealous,
The handsome man has a filly!
He, who is only a few months old,
To squeeze your soft breast already!
The joke, in bad taste, and expressing the ambivalence that existed in France towards wet nurses, is that "sein doux", -soft breast-, sounds the same in French as "saindoux", -lard-: appreciate the girl's somewhat porcine features.
