The World Breastfeeding Week has been celebrated every year from 1 to 7 August since 1992 in more than 120 countries. It is supported by UNICEF and the WHO and coordinated by the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Alliance (WABA) to promote the practice of breastfeeding to improve the health of infants around the world.
