Laura Pacheco Torrijo, breastfeeding trainer and paediatric nurse at the Hospital Marina Alta de Denia, then hospital in Denia (Alicante, Spain), is the president of the Nodrissa Groupa breastfeeding support group that holds breastfeeding workshops and organises an annual Photo Contest "Breastfeeding Marina Alta"The contest was conceived in 1996 by Dr. José María Paricio Talayero, head of the Paediatrics Department at the Marina Alta Hospital, as a means of socially normalising the image of breastfeeding women. The aim of this competition is to promote breastfeeding by means of the cultural recovery of the image of breastfeeding, which has been censored especially in the West and is the cause of problems in breastfeeding on demand, as women feel the ambiguity of the gaze when doing it in public. Editions have been held without interruption since 1997.

The Marina Alta Hospital in Denia was accredited by the IHAN of WHO-UNICEF from 1999 until its closure in 2009 as a Baby Friendly Hospital.
