Andrea d'Agnolo di Francesco (Florence 1486-1530), known as Andrea del Sarto because he was the son of a tailor. A painter with Venetian influences, he was a pupil of Piero di Cosimo and teacher of Pontormo and Rosso.
This Holy Family from 1520 is kept in the Prado Museum. There are two other very similar works in the Museum of Ancient Art in Rome and in Burgos Cathedral.
