Albertus Pictor or Albert Maler or Malare, Swedish painter (1445-1507). Church painter. Little known outside Sweden, his fresco "The Knight and Death Playing Chess", in the church of Täby, a few kilometres north of Stockholm, inspired Ingmar Bergman's "The Seventh Seal"; in the film Albertus himself was portrayed by the actor Gunnar Olsson.
