Luis de Morales (1509-1586), painter from Extremadura, known as "El Divino". Influenced by Mannerism and Leonardo da Vinci. He produced numerous versions, with few variations, of the painting "The Virgin and Child" which are in the Museo del Prado (three copies), the Museo de Bellas Artes in Seville, the National Gallery in London and the Museo de Arte Antiga in Lisbon.
