The Virgin with the green cushionby the Milanese painter Andrea di Bartolo, known as Solario (1460/5-1524), painted around 1507-1510 for the Amboise family. Louis XV bought it from the Prince de Carignan in 1723. Musée du Louvre. This motif has been widely used in philately and can be found on stamps from various countries.
