Francisco de Zurbarán (Fuente de Cantos (Badajoz), 1598 - Madrid, 1664) was a pupil at the Sevillian school of Francisco Pacheco, along with Diego Velázquez and Alonso Cano, all great painters of the Spanish Baroque during the Golden Age.
Su lienzo al óleo «La Virgen con el Niño» de 1658 se conserva en el Museo Pushkin de Bellas Artes de Moscú.
